Yes! Ice and water barrier is required by code on all surfaces outside the exterior wall line and extending 24” inside the exterior wall line.

Ridge vents typically provide more airflow than box vents. Depending on your home upgrading to a ridge vent may be a good option. Ask your sales representative if ridge venting is a good upgrade for your home.
